Comprising 120 works by George Grosz (1893 – 1959), the collection of prints and drawings of Museum Kunstpalast includes a representative cross section of the artist’s oeuvre. On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the artist’s death these works, along with high-calibre loans from private holdings, will be presented in a solo exhibition.

Art and Alchemy. The Mystery of Transformation (5.4.2014 - 10.8.2014)

Alchemy is the art of making gold and redeeming base metals or other substances from their supposedly imperfect state. The desire to generate something new and to discover the mysteries of the natural world is something alchemists shared with many artists. The Museum Kunstpalast invites visitors to trace this fascination through the centuries.

The German painter K. O. Götz will be 100 years old in 2014. Museum Kunstpalast celebrates this extraordinary occasion with an exhibition from the holdings of the Kemp Collection Foundation. The collector Willi Kemp has been the artist’s friend for more than 50 years, and in this time he has assembled one of the largest and best selections of works by this great artist.
